Hackwood Homes secures ISO 9001: 2015 quality management certification

Leading construction and development firm Hackwood Homes has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management.

The internationally recognised certification, issued by BM TRADA, covers ground works, civil engineering, general building, refurbishment works, design and build and JCT contracts. 

The BM TRADA certificate and certification marks are valuable tools to help demonstrate the organization’s commitment to certain standards.

The 9001:2015 standard is the most rigorous quality standard introduced to date and as such companies in the UK have been given up to three years to implement the system needed to secure it. 

Hackwood Homes has established itself over the last 10 years as a top-rated contractor building high quality developments all over the UK for a number of national retirement companies.

Chris Goddard, managing director of Hackwood Homes, said: “This is a real testament to the hard work and commitment of both our staff and the company’s pursuit to be market leaders in the contracting business. 

“It’s a rigorous process to become ISO 9001: 2015 certified. We are now tendering for schools, universities, government and local authority work which expects this accreditation.”

Chris added: “It was agreed to invest the time, money and resource to achieve the certification to support winning more projects from these sectors. It is already giving clients the reassurance that they are engaging with a company which takes seriously the scope of the standard and has systems and procedures in place to ensure quality throughout the development process.”

The nine-month process was led by operations manager Katie Goddard. Katie added: “The Hackwood team all worked extremely hard to meet the requirements of the standard. Not only does the process makes us feel confident we are the most efficient we can be, it also assures customers that we have a robust management system from the tender stage through to the completion of the contract. 

“We will be looking to further improve our business process so our customers receive the best value for their contracts to the highest quality delivered in good time”.
