Hackwood completes its 20th multi-million pound retirement project

Hackwood Group has completed its latest multi-million pound project for PegasusLife, part of the award winning Life Story Group.

The firm has been adding the finishing touches to a 24-unit development in Brockenhurst in the New Forest. It’s the 20 th retirement development built in seven years by the Basingstoke based construction firm.

Hackwood is currently working on a number of retirement developments in the south including schemes at Dorking, Winchester and Bourne End. The firm has also built developments for Renaissance Retirement, part of the same group. The latest developments launched in the last 12 months have been in Crowthorne, Sandhurst, Wimborne and Poole.

“It’s a special moment when we handover the keys to building to the client’s Development Director,” said Hackwood Construction Director Paul Williams who has overseen every retirement scheme in the last six years.

Paul added: “It’s a big milestone and a lot of effort has gone into the development by this stage from architects, planners, surveyors, civils, site workers, site agents, sub-contractors and interiors team.

“When a development is finished, you do take a step back and have a proud moment with the team. It’s only natural.”
